Working together is an important part of everything we do at BAR. We rely on dedicated affiliate and REALTOR® members to serve on our committees and help guide the work of the association.
Our current committees are:
This committee explores economic opportunities and issues within our community to encourage the creation and retention of jobs as well as an economic climate that fosters a healthy housing stock and market. This committee meets the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at BAR.
The Education Committee provides professional development opportunities for REALTORS®. The goal is the creation of more informed and productive REALTORS® for the benefit of the community. This committee meets the first Monday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at BAR.
BAR is actively committed to Fair Housing and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The committee’s mission is to ensure association members are provided the information and training necessary to further their education and outreach efforts to implement that commitment. This committee meets on an as-needed basis at BAR.
The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) monitors local, state and federal issues that affect private property rights and the real estate industry. This committee meets the first Friday of the month at BAR.
The Professional Standards Committee provides trained and competent panels as required to conduct fair and impartial hearings on alleged unethical conduct by BAR members or in arbitration of business disputes as defined in the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.
The goal of the Quality of Life program is to raise money for and awareness of non-profits in our community. The committee organizes the Quality of Life Casino Night and Quality of Life Run, as well as other activities throughout the year. This committee meets the second Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at BAR.
This committee provides networking opportunities for REALTOR® and affiliate members through a variety of events, such as holiday celebrations and golf scrambles. This committee meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at BAR.
The goal of the YPN is to help real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to be involved. This committee meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
